Buying, selling, building or staying in the property you own, a property inspection just makes good sense! Understanding the condition of the systems and components of a building are critical when it comes to purchase, repair and maintenance decisions.
Construction Draw Inspections-New Construction/Remodeling or Expansion of your Present Home
Whether you are moving to a new home under construction or expanding your present home, let us do periodic inspections so that you can see how the project is progressing.
On New Construction, We will do 6 Inspections. Each Inspection should take 20-30 Minutes to complete. A Computer Generated Report with Photos and a Photo Disc will then be forwarded to you within 48 Hours.
On Remodeling or Expansion Projects, we will do 4 to 5 Inspections depending on the size of the project and then do a computer generated report with photos and photo disc.
The Fees for these inspections will be about $75.00 depending on the scope of the inspections. At the end of the project, you will receive our guide to taking care of your home.
A professional home inspection is an impartial third-party visual evaluation of the physical structure, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, roofing, interior and exterior.
Upon completion, a comprehensive and narrative computer-generated report will be provided within 48 to 72 hours of the inspection.
What is Included in the Inspection?
We provide buyers, sellers, property owners, & agents with important information essential to evaluating a property’s condition. Through inspection, consultation & detailed reporting we review:

HEATING and A/C: description, combustion system, A/C components, supply & discharge lines, venting, ductwork & registers, controls & thermostats.
PLUMBING: main supply line, distribution lines, fixtures, vents & traps & drains, functional flow.
INSULATION: attic, walls, crawlspace, floors, lines, ductwork, air & vapor barriers.
INTERIOR: walls, ceilings, windows, floors, doors, stairs, fireplaces, smoke detectors.
How Long Will it Take?
In most cases, the average inspection takes between 2 to 3 hours depending on the size, condition and age of the property. A comprehensive and narrative computer generated report will be provided within 48 to 72 hours of the inspection.

Home Maintenance Check-Up Reports
Katjoe Home & Building Inspections Inc will perform the above service for those homeowners who have had their homes inspected within the last 1 to 3 years.
This is not a Home Inspection but it will supplement the Home Inspection Report that was done in the last 1 to 3 years. We will require that you have the Home Inspection Report available for reference so that old problems that may still exist can be checked.
The initial check-up will cost $150.00. This service takes about 1 to 2 hours to complete. With the initial check-up, the homeowner will receive all of the books and guides that we normally give with a home inspection except for the pre-closing inspection form. If the homeowner agrees to having us return for annual or bi-annual checkups, the cost of these check-ups will be $100.00. Only those books or guides that have been revised will be distributed on subsequent check-ups.
Katjoe Home & Building Inspections Inc, in conjunction with CMC Energy Services, now offers Home Energy Tune Up Inspections. This is a Quick Inspection of the Home Characteristics (Dwelling Type, Customer Status, Age of Home, Square Footage, Cubic Footage, Number of Bedrooms and Orientation of Dwelling), Heating System, Central Air Conditioning or Room A/C or Wall A/C Units, Distribution Systems, Air Seal-Up System, Water Heater, Window and Skylight Improvements, Ceiling Insulation, Outside Wall Insulation, Thermal Partition Wall Insulation, Knee Wall Insulation, Conditional Basement Wall Insulation, laundry Appliances and Kitchen Appliances.
The Inspector will inspect all of the above and record vital data pertaining to their operation. A computerized report will then be prepared and forwarded to the customer within 24 Hours. If the Customer follows the suggestions made in the report, They may save as much as 30% on future energy bills.
This Inspection, by itself, may take between 60 and 90 Minutes depending on the condition of the areas to be inspected. If done as part of a Home Inspection, it may take another 30 Minutes. For more information, go to www.hometuneup.com
